Stasis for Viola and Piano (RA - 28.8)
Written during the month of October 1997, Stasis for viola and piano ignores the historically unbalanced relationship that has existed between the keyboard and a solo stringed instrument. Highly coloristic in nature, this short, single movement work is an attempt to put the viola and piano into a symbiotic setting that provides opportunity for each instrument to highlight many of its own unique sonic capabilities while remaining an equal and integral voice throughout the composition. This work is dedicated to violist Jennifer Warwick.
Colors: Suite for Piano Solo - Red (RA - 28.8)
Under the Pavement, Beach (RA - 28.8)

The Dead Doll (RA - 28.8)
The complete work for film, computer generated sound, and cello emphasizes and extends the dramatic substance of Margaret Vandergrift's poem, "The Dead Doll." The central theme focuses on the loss of innocence that occurs when a young girl attempts to cope with the death and betrayal of her closest friend, Hildegarde.
